This might be handy for some of you folks
I have a pair of these monsters in my garage in storage with the dual throat
Tar filled. I was told they are from the 1950's..not sure
They are big and the weight is HUGE on these things
Follow Ups:
Ugh. Just looking at the pictures makes my ears hurt.
Still, they were good for their time.
Can you feed them a high frequency signal and get rid of mosquitos in the yard?
It's a bug pit out here.
Lets trade ;)
You have 1505's? those are monsters! What drivers are you running with them?
No drivers on them at all
They had some 288's on them and the diaphragms are shot
I pulled them off and they are sitting in storage as well
The 291's I have are on Large Mantaray's
As I stated they are in storage
:)
Had them once upon a time great sound. I would keep them and add a sub ideally horn loaded. They don't make stuff like that anymore too expensive
300Hz cutoff and 18 or 15 cells are the biggest of the Altec multicells.
I've got an early '50s pair of tar filled 1005A horns. They're big but certainly not monsters.
