The Zero Surge 8 or the Brickwall sounds ideal for my needs. If the receptacles truly do isolate any noise, I would go for this affordable solution.
I asked my friend about his Brickwall and he is very pleased with it.
bgpowell, do you know how these units are grounded? Star-grounding is supposed to be the best approach.

Don't know about the grounding but using a Brickwall AUD15 8 outlet here for a long time.
Thanks to all for your contribution to this thread. I bought the Brick Wall PW8R15AUD Surge Suppressor and have no regrets. It is vastly superior to the Furman power strip/conditioner that it replaced, (and was the same price as my Furman). The transparency of the Brickwall was immediately evident.
With my low-current components into the Brickwall and combined with my Blue Circle conditioner, I'm really enjoying the clarity and detail of my music.I spoke to a tech at Brickwall regarding their filtering technology and was told that they use a ferrite bead for isolation. Capacitors return the noise and any surge current to the neutral.
I understand now that these devices do not provide full isolation, but it's an excellent upgrade.
