...I wouldn't be buying records. I'd be buying stock - Facebook, Google, Apple, Microsoft. Then I wouldn't have to worry about having enough disposable income for my audio habit. ;-)

Odd, but it seems that after I passed the 60 mark, my sense of time passage really went fubar.
What they heck, buy a stack or LPs. And maybe a car for the Barret-Jackson, as long as we're dreaming.

Can you imagine walking into a big record store and, with the equivalent in cash to what you've spent on records in the past 30 years, started buying up records right then and there? That would be a fun day of record shopping. '-)

Probably the next best thing is Amoeba Music in Berkeley - which is still in business. I went there with a friend late last year, and it was kind of like going back in time. They had a great selection of new and used music - records and CDs. With any luck, I'll be headed there again next month.
I picked up a VG used Blood, Sweat & Tears (the one with Spinning Wheel). I think he got a pristine copy of The Partridge Family's Greatest Hits, or maybe it was The Doors. Whichever. ;)
