it's kid speak. And we could certainly use a few more kids collecting, and enjoying, vinyl.
Seems far less offensive than all of the pretentious prattle from the balding old guys in the hobby that call sounds "caramel colored", "underdeveloped" and "lacking in body".
I'm afraid to guess what you think of the word "turntablist"!

......to any recorded performance in any media, including CD, DVD, open reel tape, etc. All being records of the performance.
Now it wouldn't hurt to get them saying LPs, 45s, and, dare I hope beyond hope, 78s, my favorite of all.
In the era I grew up in, records were big, flat, round and most often black.

Your point is well made ...I'm just very set in my ways.
I worked in an audio shop with a record section for years. When someone asked for a title we would ask if they wanted a cassette or a record. No mention of vinyl or LP.
