The bad - Joe's Paradise Records in Silver Spring, MD is out of business.
The goods - I snagged these for $10 plus tax at The Record Exchange.
Follow Ups:
Nice score.
Having known the family since high school and hanging out in every location since the original Takoma Park on Carroll Ave I will say this; Joes son Johnson was never up to the task. Joe retired and built a house near me in WV back in about 2006 or so.Joe always moved locations to a more favorable situation. He went from Takoma Park to Del Mercado to Aspen Hill to Rockville then to Silver Spring where it moved from a street level location to a basement location a few blocks away both on Georgia Ave.
I have many fond memories, wild stories and met many great musicians and music related people at Joes.

I just read in the Post recently that Joe's had finally reopened in their new Silver Spring location. What happened?
Permitting issues.
One of the last places to browse. We have a Frye in Lakeforest Mall, but it kinda sucks.

He hoped and prayed that there wasn't an afterlife. Then he realized there was a contradiction involved here and merely hoped that there wasn't an afterlife.

With Joe it was always about money and landlord Tennant relations. More than one locations landlord wanted him out.
