Somehow I got the feeling things like that are not appreciated at AA.
Glad to hear this is not true.
Though WIKIPEDIA says that Simon KING played drums on the track, not Simon Phillips or did I misconstrue?
Brian Eno, in those days, was the Fellini of music; he knew how to make things happen. With a rough idea in his head and a willingness to take chances and work with what he had he was a man who could "think on his feet". Those records have the sound of something good being spontaneously created using unlikely ingredients.
TAKING TIGER MOUNTAIN, I think, took it all a step further. Who would have guessed than Brian Turrington was such a good bassist and possessed so many good ideas? Hell, for the longest time I did not know who he was!
Wish there had been more in this vein after BEFORE AND AFTER SCIENCE but either the ideas were depleted or for reasons I do not understand Eno decided to make MUZAK. I guess it is sophisticated MUZAK, if there could be such a thing. Music for people who do not like music or maybe just do not want to have to concentrate on the music? I think I would rather listen to waves breaking ...

I got confused - thought the album in question was the one with John Cale and Nico on it - June 1, 1974. The really embarassing part is King is not on that record, either!
Thanks for setting me straight.
