The article is about (caps added) "....a NEW way to generate very low-resistance electric current in a NEW class of materials."
What that has to do with any hifi product ever produced is beyond me. Apparently Alan thinks the "chiral magnetic effect" will eventually explain..........hmm, actually I dunno WTF he thinks it'll explain regarding hifi since nothing in hifi has ever involved the "new way to generate very low-resistance electric current in a new class of materials" in question.
'Course I eagerly await the new $100,000 zirconium pentatelluride ic's that Trump Cable LLC. will be marketing soon.
Follow Ups:
I HAVE some test Zirconium Pentatelluride ICs and they ain't all that. Connected between my Pre and Power amps, the downstream component doesn't know whether it's coming or going.
Too much is never enough
Alan has posted stuff like this in the past. At some point in the ensuing interchange he usually expresses the hope that at last there will be legitimate scientific support for many seemingly dubious audio tweaks currently permeating the fringier aspects of audiophillia. The more obscure and esoteric the "discovery", the better...probably because there's a lower probability of outright refutation due to a greatly reduced general familiarity with the phenomenon. A longing for objective validation of subjectivity.
IMO, a psychological approach would be more apropos.

...linking this and other esoteric quantum physical phenomenon to the validation of audiophile tweaks?
You already know the answer to that....not yet. It's gonna take years and a ton of money, in addition to access to the most expensive analytical equipment. I presume you already know that as well.
