I'm making a mental note to look for some kind of write-up in 'Physics Today' over the next few months. Apparently, this hasn't really made a ripple in the scientific community yet.

It's amazing that hipsters who insist they can hear sampling remnants in interpolated 24/96 digital waveforms can somehow fail to detect surface noise from their own vinyl LPs.

I'm certainly not a scientist or Ph.D level researcher, but methinks the "possibles" in this area are profound....
Just to let you know -- I asked my Dad, whose field of expertise is electrical conductivity, whether he'd ever heard of the "chiral magnetic effect".
He paused for a second and said, "Erm, yeah, I think I remember hearing the term somewhere." Then he just kind of laughed.
He's retired, but he stays abreast of the subject matter. I'm not saying you're wrong when you say that the study of CME has real potential. It's just that there's a difference between stuff that generates interest in semi-popular scientific journals and stuff that generates interest among scientific peers.
