i too was lucky that way. my wife loved music and much of the same music that i listen to. in her apartment, i had set up a full on separate component system with infinity monitor jr speakers on stands plus Dynaquad. it was very convincing.
we moved into a house as soon as i got custody of one of my daughters and after about two weeks she asserted "it's time to set up the Dynaquad. the way i have it set up is quite unnoticeable sonically until you turn off the rear speakers and everything collapses to the front speakers.
it's good to hear that others have had accommodating spouses instead of the decor Nazis that some wives turn out to be.

Follow Ups:
He loves music, but didn't have the resources for a decent stereo system. I lent him my Amber amp, pre, sony xa20es cdp, snell E speakers and he was truly jazzed. A month later he brings it all back stating the speakers were to big for his wife. Whata whimp.
...I sold a pair of speakers to a friend and his wife yelled, "Get those butt-ugly things out of my living room!"
They ended up divorcing about a year later...
"They look like the monoliths from 2001!" was her summation. ;-)
But now I have some smaller Magnepans in my system and she's OK with them.
self explanatory.
