Wow, I lived in Alameda for 5 years back in the 90s; didn't even know they existed...I have no affiliation, delete if improper but I'm fairly certain they're non-profit.
On Saturday, October 24th, the California Historical Radio Society is going to be holding an auction of old radios and hi-fi gear as a fund raiser at their headquarters in Alameda, California.
