Quint,
You got to become a regular here. Your research and experiments are very appreciated. I am glad you are back.
Hi, Guys:Been a long, long time! I hope everyone is doing well. I was seriously touched by M. Vidal's's post and email. I didn't think I made any real impression on the Asylym--at least not enough to merit any kind of mention!
A lot has gone on in the years since I bid the Asylum adieu--some of it not particularly pleasant--but I'm still around, and quite frankly amazed that ANYONE really noticed my absence. I did my best to convey my true feelings and impressions in my posts, and while I think many of my comments/reviews fell far short of the mark I intended, at least a few helped some people (enough to make them remark here, at least). And that makes me feel unbelievably good.
I'm not sure if my system profile is still up, but it's been pretty stable for the last few years, the only notable addition being the Jena Labs Studio Reference speakers that I waited a loooonng time for.
Anyway, I can't promise a return to my previous posting history, but this thread has made me feel very re-welcomed here at AA. Thanks a LOT for that!
P.S. I checked out, but I never left. :)

and hope the unpleasant parts are of the past.
A stable system can be a MIGHTY fine thing!
I, for one, always appreciated your posts
and your reports on CD tweaking.
Be well and happy listening!

He posted a lot on Tweakers up til about June 2011. That's when the trail runs cold.
him announcing he was leaving when he did. Anyone willing to search could find out.

the song is simply a play on words, as it reflected the attitudes/times, circa 1976. The band were knee deep in the excesses of the day.
Some people can vanish without a trace whilst others have everything including their breakfast posted for the WHOLE world to see.
Yes, I too did enjoy his postings and opinions.
I do not expect to be missed when I am gone...
Cheers,

He did write good posts. Lots of music reviews, if I recall.
Regards,
Geoff
He must have been a big fan of Jaws. True story.
