Thanks a lot indeed for your very valuable reply.
I will treat it with much greater respect from now on.
You have an exceptionally resolving system indeed.
I have a good friend who fell in love with Devialet sound at a show.
Impressive technology. I have never listened to if by the way.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,

Devialet , albeit expensive , is somewhat of a bargain.
I bought a used D Premier for $7k
It replaces a DAC, amp , headphone amp , sub controller , streamer , pre amp etc in an all in one unit that sounds marvelous. you could end up paying a lot more for mid level separates.
I tried 2 other amps recently , a Rotel 1572 250w Class D which was absolute rubbish compared and a Crown CDi4000 (650w/chan) which was sort of ok except when the fan came on .... way too noisy.
The latest G1's have had a crossover makeover and are now 93db efficient so just about anything can drive them..
They are the star of the show , by far the best speakers I have heard.. you cannot describe what they do in words , suffice it to say that with them , even in my previously slightly compromised room , you are either taken "there" or "they" are taken to you.. it's amazing how you get sucked into performances..
I measured them -3db down at 16hz!!!!

Thanks a lot again for the very interesting advice.
I find particular interesting this " ... with them , even in my previously slightly compromised room , you are either taken "there" or "they" are taken to you ... "
I have a longlasting experience of more than " slightly compromised " rooms so i am very sensitive to this aspect.
So it seems that really good speakers can "impose" their quality on other components, considering the listening room as a component.
A very exceptional speaker indeed.
Congratulations again.
Kind regards,
bg
