Audirvana Plus Integrated, (when I open A+, Itunes opens with it) is processing the music. I run the Mini headless and use Splashtop (6 bucks I think it was) to control what I listen to. Splashtop shows exactly what a monitor would show on the Ipad Air. I have a 55 inch TeeVee hooked to the Mini & I keep it turned off when I listen to tunes.
I also discovered that I can use my mouse on the Ipad, not on the screen directly, just on whatever flat surface is available (the burl table). Much easier to navigate thru Itunes...
I told a senior Apple tech that I use a mouse on an Ipad and he was flabbergasted.
You can use the mouse/Splashtop combo to do anything at all that you want on your Mac Mini.
It is way better that the Apple Remote APP. It has not crashed, it never fails, is updated often (free) and when setting it up you have an option to either use a password or not. I chose not and so it just rolls into functionality the second after it boots up.
Let me know how you like it, I think it is indispensable.
The table is redwood burl that was given to my first wife and I as a wedding present in 1974, by the artist who made it. He allowed us to pick the very burl that we liked. It weighs 180 pounds.

on 2nd thought I do not know if I am using Audirvana Plus, or iTunes integrated mode with Audirvana Plus...When I start Audirvana, Itunes loads with it and I see both on the Ipad....Then I can go into Itunes and chose what I listen to...
