Burning incense too thanks to inspiration from Winston Smith over at central ;)

that you can take such nice, well exposed pictures of pizza, but when you're taking pictures of your system, they all look like your trying to save money with low watt bulbs or attending a seance?Come to think of it, the system pictures are all here at General, and the pizza pictures are all over on Central. Maybe it has something to do with the the changes in virtual venue?

besides the very low wattage light pole, I only have 1 LED lightbulb (a phillips A9) in my living room, and it is covered by a black lampshade. My entire apartment is LED lit, I invested about $900 on LED light bulbs 7 years ago, and now they are cheaper, but I don't have to change the light bulbs for a long time. so yeah it is dark, also when I take the pictures of food I am in my kitchen which has 3 LED lights instead of one, and I usually have the pizza on the oven where there is a light above the oven.
That explains it.
Hmmm. One might ask "Why one lightbulb only, and why the black lampshade?" But not me, man. No sirree! I dig it.
Anyhoo, your posts are always very entertaining, so keep up the good work!

It is a nice atmosphere, dim light enhances creativity, and more importantly for me metaphysical understanding of my thought process. I've been doing a lot of inward work over the past decade, although living in ones head all the time can sometimes can be overwhelming.
here it is, just in case one is wondering.
enjoy the rest of the weekend, thanks for the kind words.
..... although my lungs and sinuses may some day regret these moments of ecstatic sensory stimulation. (Sort of like how my ears now regret my youthful --and frequent-- abuses via headphones and my penchant for loud, no, make that very loud, rock and roll and classical music.)
As my immediately previous post herein about 'breakfast smells' attests, I think smells of great food and frequent, strong and generous wisps of fine incense are definitely mood lifters and or/changers for me, ever since I can remember.
But we always have to bear in mind the sensibilities of others when engaging in this pursuit, and take other's feelings into account, that's for sure.
Thus, I was happy when my wife said she enjoyed the Nippon-Kodo "Morningstar" line of incenses (which I then immediately took as a 'green light' to stink the joint up as often as possible!)
In fact, I just lit up three sticks of "Fig" (a delicious scent!), and with the gentle morning breeze, it's slowly moving from one side of the house to the other, then gone. Very nice start to the day......
Hope everyone's day, in their own way, is equally nice.
Cheers!

but it was at afternoon Mass where my cousins go to church. Can't use it at home because my wife can't stand it. Irritates here eyes and nose and reminders her of memorial services in her native Korea. Oh, well, back to our protestant church I guess. :-)

What the wife wants, the wife gets, at least in my house, and it sounds like yours, too. And if she says, "No!" to incense, that's that.
Oh, well.
--sigh--
Look on the bright side: At least you can enjoy it at church. (I wonder what type they use...... )
bamboo sticks of forest, maybe will light up the Opium later. Still taking it all in, it lingers a little bit, but I smoke pipe, cigarette, and of course cigar ;)
Keep up the great and fun work of burnin' your way to happiness.
I'm with ya there, as are many other members, I'm sure.....
