Starting to be driving weather again out west..sorry NE guys.
Lifting some stuff off the hard drive to plug into the Levinson stereo in the car and sing to my favs with the windows up so no one can hear me as I roll down the highway. Some cuts just make my gas foot 'leadish' and makes me fodder for the highway patrol. Right now it is "Cry Me a River" by Joe Cocker (RIP) off his Mad Dogs and Englishmen album. What's yours?
Follow Ups:

And yet despite the look on my face, you're still talking.
...Steve Winwood's "Night Train" from Arc of the Diver is one of them.
...REO Speedwagon "Roll with the Changes".
The paint was a deep purple color and his plate read "HWY STR"
First song that comes to mind. Top of playlist during cross-country trip, circa 1972.

"I can't compete with the dead". (Buck W. 2010)
Awe-d-o-file, I agree 100%. There is no way for me to keep the foot off of the pedal when that song is playing. Additionally, when/if that song comes on while I'm driving the volume usually gets cranked up to absurd levels.
Any one looking for a "gotta drive fast" song only needs to play that track.

We see eye to eye on that and so does my Dutch wife!

Makes the pedal go down.

...road rocker. "Night Train" by Steve Winwood isn't bad, either.

The Doors- Moonlight Drive.
"Ventura Highway" is another stone-classic.
I think "rocking down the highway" is great for openers.
I have this compilation CD that I always start my road trip with:
