Hey 4ever, if you like Eric Clapton, you'll love his "One More Car, One More Rider" DVD. It's from their 2001 tour, and is all over the map - from slow and smooth to serious rock 'n roll. The late great Billy Preston on Hammond organ, the awesome Steve Gadd on drums,... you get the idea.

Excellent choice! I have that one on DVD too. It was one of my first EC concert DVDs and then I started searching out more. I like the EC Crossroads Guitar Festival series a lot.
Yeah, it's a bit amazing how life goes sometimes. I first heard Steve Gadd playing drums way back in 1972 at the Music Educators National Conference in Atlanta. That's when Chuck Mangione led the Eastman (School of Music) Studio Orchestra and featured Steve. He fell off my radar (along with most musicians and audio folks) when I got side-tracked into computers for about 10-12 years.
But one day, I found myself in a Circuit City store, watching this Clapton DVD, and thinking "That's Steve Gadd!". Bought the DVD immediately! Then, about 8 years ago, my son (who plays percussion) and I went to one of Steve's master class/clinics. It was SO great to hear him play live again!, and to have some time to talk with him - even though I'm a trumpet player. ;)

That's from '96.
And Steve Gadd on drums.
