Yours is a very elegant and tasteful solution to a very common storage problem. I got tired of free standing racks taking up valuable floor space.
I decided to incorporate storage into plans for my dedicated room. This is the final result. The enclosure was built off site and later inserted into the wall. The shelves are solid oak and adjustable.

Beautiful pic! House13-
what comapny makes this product?
Thank you. The in wall cabinet was made from scratch by the contractor who built the dedicated room it is in. It was planned in advance when the room was thought out. He made the cabinet in his shop and left a space in the wall to accommodate it before finishing the wall and closing it in. That is a firewall and framed with 2 x 6 lumber. The shelves are adjustable and actually consist of two oak boards each, 1/4 inch over 1 inch for firm support. The stain is dark cherry to match the wood trim in the remainder of the room. I have almost 700 CD's in there now and still have room for many more.
Could i get the dimensions?
The overall dimensions require the following wall opening: 73" x 37 1/2." The cabinet depth is 6 1/4." 1 1/4" extends forward beyond the wall surface so the cabinet fits in the opening created by 2 x 6 framing with solid foam panel insulation behind it in the wall. 1/4" trim surrounds the outside cabinet edges to bring the protrusion to only one inch. There are 10 shelves if you include the very bottom of the cabinet. There are 9 adjustable shelves each of which is 1 1/4" in thickness.
Of course, this is for my application. You can build this in any size you may like. I hope this helps.
Yes, House13, very helpful indeed!
I like your bookends and the step stool. Great!
Give me rhythm or give me death!
