I think Bob has passed before the op amp based phono stage was designed? I remember he was involved with the JC1 and 2.

back in about 2005? A year or so after this picture as taken at the Parasound/CES party in 2004. Still have the Misty River CD I purchase at the event.
Yep, that's about 10 years ago.
But I was speaking of John Curl designed gear in general, not this particular phono pre.
I just saved a copy of that picture. Hope you don't mind? Bob and John stopped here and spent the night. John went on to visit family and Bob and I drove north to Vancouver Washington. We met Ted Smith at a nice restaurant. After dinner we drove a few blocks to a venue and met Misty River and took in their show. The next night we went to a local club and saw Jen Chapin. She had a guy playing bass with the last name of Crump. We all shared a table when they took a break. Bob and the other Crump talked family trees.
