Items < $999 used to be four bucks for a basic ad.
Now it's ten.
Yeah, let's more than double our fees.

The place is a ghost town and it's run by wankers... who bothers even going there any more?
I think sudz still hangs out there.
I go there. I had a $550.00 pair of speakers on Craigslist & AA Trader for 2 months, no sale. I finally put them on AudiogoN using their $10.00 flat fee listing. The speakers sold in 3 days at full price, communication was easy, speakers survived the cross country trip with no problems, feedback given & received. For ten bucks or .019% of the selling price, I think it's a bargain!
I have not and don't use them anymore. In more than a year and don't need them.
It would be of interest to know the amount of annual revenue the 'gon makes from sellers' ads?
What difference would it make? Their earnings are their concern, and of nobody's business from here. If you don't like the fees a service provider charges, just step away. There's others. There's no need to constantly whine about Audiogon in here. Take it over there and whine.Disclosure: I have never used Audiogon, nor will I.

I doubt they will ever tell nor will we know.
Just a mere bag of shells!
You can still do a Basic ad for $4.00 the $10.00 and up are for ads that negate the fees.
Free is better every time.
Me too, here and through US Audiomart. Forget Audiogon.
10 bucks, big fizz for world wide exposure. I have sold on AudiogoN since it's inception, never a problem always a great experience, same with eBay & Craigslist for me. AA has been spotty, but I have made sales. 10 bucks is cheap with no FVF and evidently so are you, be real ...

We can spend megabucks on audio gear but complain about pocket change price hikes to buy, sell, trade on an auction site. They're still the best game in town IMHO.
And so can be the cost of buying, and selling.
I miss the old 'Gon...
I agree with you Abe.
