That's it. Always liked the idea and the way it "exhibits" the components.
I'm going to explore using a 2"x4" maple beam with mortises to accept 3/4" Baltic Birch Plywood. In the description you found the mentioned top support that rests against the wall is the missing piece of the concept.
Floor space may be prohibitive but a prototype must be built.
Thank you!

Nice, I like the idea of you building it yourself.
If you are hooked on the design I think I'd be tempted to use at least 6x4 if using timber. Of course it all depends how much weight you wish it to support. Also I think using supporting brackets from post to shelf will be a must.
Just make sure you start with a established angle, say, 75°
Have fun & good luck!

Those specs sound just about right. Done one before? I thought you were a retired filthy capitalist like me?
Hey outaline, that's not a rack, that's a furniture statement toy. ;)
Two words: Cable chase. ;)
THESE are racks, and your wife will LOVE one in your formal living room, 'cause it reflects your (I assume) exceptionally manly personna and complete control over the part of the world you control so far. Friends and relatives will be impressed and intimidated:

AND, wheels are available!

Apparently not. You did it.
It's almost as easy as highlight, right click, open link in new window.
:)
I just like the design and the challenge of building it.
Wires can be routed down the rear support.
Who knows where my old-age ADD will take me tomorrow?
