In Reply to: RE: How About A Master List of Online Audio Dealers With A 30-Day MB Guarantee? posted by on February 16, 2014 at 06:49:08
Would you be willing to pay full price for an amplifier that someone else had used for 30 days and then returned? I am not an entirely online/phone dealer but most of my sales are made that way. If I send out a unit for someone to try out, it immediately loses a large chunk of its value. If I send out a demo, then I am without my demo for 30 days. Perhaps your suggestion only applies to big online dealers who can afford to send several demos around at a time. Anyway, this idea may not be as workable as you suggest. Some of us small guys do lend out cable for trials but the gear itself is a tough proposition.

People here don't like 30 day return policies which you can see from the response. On the other hand brick and mortar stores are closing everyday. Go figure?
I can see why dealer's lend out cables. To paraphrase Cosmo Kramer; exotic wires are the biggest scam on the public since one hour Martinizing.
They don't have to be. Look around a bit more. Best cables I know of cost a fraction of the luxury stuff and sound better.
An Online dealer decides how to run their business. If they accept returns then fine. If not fine. I was asking if you know of more that do. That's it.
Cater to obsessive neurotic audiophiles and you will go broke in a matter of no time!
