I think the felt disk is a good idea, as the Sorbothane will leave shadow like mark on many components.
what is important to understand, is that you need to use the right sorbothane duro option. if your speakers weight 100lbs and you use 4 hemisphere sorbothane that can support 10lbs each, they will not work.or if you use 10lbs speaker for sorbothone feet that can endure 100lbs, it will not work as well either.
sorbothone needs the right amount of compression to work and so need to be careful in which sorbothane pads to get for your needs
