Tonight I came home from work wanting to listen to some music on my system. My wife was watching tv in the living room with her humidifier belching out a large mist.....inches from my left speaker! What was she thinking, or not thjinking?
I haven't played my stereo yet, but does anyone think the exposed drivers could have been affected?
Bob
I throw my windows open wide and call to you across the sky.

They just don't know. It's like her walking in catching you using an S.O.S. pad on her expensive, non stick pans.
out the back door as you drove into the driveway.
no good can come from such a situation.

she may have invented a way to say the speakers from getting dry rot on the surrounds, hehe.
Smell it,dust it,clean it,test it,measure it.If you miss doing this,vengeance shall follow.
shit happensI bought a beautiful 1950's Fisher mono console that had perfect wood. Looked like it did in 1956. It looked new. Blonde cabinet.
I brought in into the basement temporarily right aftert I bought it and the wife did a load of wash and put a bathroom rug out of the washer on top of the radio to let dry!
Some splitting and darkening. The stain was blonde.
Went 52 years with out a mark until it met my wife. lolKnow what?
She is so damn good she can do it again. You speakers are fine

next time they will not be affected.
Love it!
Let's try to be politically correct here.

But they'll get over it. Paper cones would absorb and tiny bit of moisture which you knows, might be good for them.
Just move the machine next to her chair and politely tell her that you love her and and that the humidifier will work far more effectively there because, yeah, you love her.
If she moves it back, then you could pop the back and snip a power connection. Ah, darn, it musta broke.

No, they're probably fine.
