My tube monoblocks have failed three times in the past half year, requiring time-devouring and expensive shipments to/from the manufacturer. Is it possible that I have "bad" tubes and that these "bad" tubes are damaging my electronics? Upon visual inspection, the tubes appear fine.
Thanks.

Thats why its important to buy tubes from reputable dealers who test and match them. Post this question where it belongs, on the tube asylum and you'll find someone who can give you a more detailed answer than I.

There are many ways a bad tube can damage equipment. One of the things I used to hate was the results of melted screen grids in TV deflection circuits, but that may not be your problem here, I get the feeling you may not have any screen grids :-) (('m not sure why I hated it, I made lots of money fixing sets with that sort of problem with underspecified 6BQ6's)There are multiple ways tubes could cause damage. I have no idea where to get tubes tested these days.
