I have had the Rogue 66 & 88 combo for about 1.5 years now. I listen to a lot of different types of music, and think the two Rogues sound wonderful with everything I have put through them. I especially love the phonostage - sounds much better than my previous B&K Pro-5 Preamp from 88'-90'. I did have a preamp tube/amp rectifier problem but Mark Walker and Mark O'Brien were extremely helpful. Super sounding stuff from a wonderful company.
-Good luck and best regards,Rich S.

tried em both with B&W Matrix 805s and chose the Rogue because I thought it sounded better - simple as that. Have since switched the Rogue 6550s to KT88s and like it even more. Swapped out the 805s for Maggie 1.6s and have mixed opinions about that - the Rogue may not have enough muscle for the Maggies, but I don't live for the loud stuff. Also have the Rogue 66 pre which I tested with the SF unit and tested it against the LS9(?). The 66 and 88 are very well matched IMHO.I did have to send the 88 back to Rogue for warranty repairs, but that was pretty painless. The warranty had expired by a couple of weeks and they took care of me anyway. Good folks at Rogue.
Good luck on a tough decision - take your time and thoroughly test your options.

I am very curious on how the Rogue gear mates with ProAcs. Ihave the 3.8's and I ust ordered a second Llano Trinity to bi amp these, but it seems that the bi-amping process is going to be a pain to get "right". I wanted to take a listen to the Rogue gear to see how they mated with Pro Ac, but when I was first looking they were not yet here (I'm in Hong Kong). I just found out they are now here, but the Llano is on its way. ayway, in short, I'm interested to see if you feel the pairing is worth looking into
I am considering a tube amp, one of them is Rogue.
Thanks,
Herman
You can't do that. These boards are about other people telling you what to like and what to buy. Just what makes you think you are capable of making a tough decision like this alone ? Better to have 10 others do it. Sometimes as many as half of them never having heard the gear at all. They just know a dealer or friend who told them something once. You are not going to fit in around here at all. :^)Enjoy
Steve
