I have assembled yet another one of these great amps, however the voltages are running a little high.I am wondering if I have the wrong R-core transformer for 120v ac input.I measured the output of the transformer at 296 volts ac.I also measured capacitors 15 & 14 to be at 442 volts. Is this too much voltage for those 400v rated caps? There isn't anything indicating the voltage rating on the R-core transformer-other than PT-877 KIG1SK

You cannot use this R-core in 120V environment...
Is it 100v only?
Please ask the seller. I won't use it in 120V environment
This is the 120V R-core.

It is high. If you have a 120V R-core, the R-core should have PT-877 120V as per this photo
Where you bought your Tu-879S?

did you buy this R-core with TU-879S?
Tube depot is where I purchased this one
My R-core has 120V label.
Here is a photo of the transformer
I only sell 120V r-core. Each R-core has 120V label.
I'm sorry I didn't get it from you, will this damage something if I use it this way?
I am sorry to tell you that you bought your TU-879S with 100V R-core.
K0X 2SK is a 100V R-core coding..
It is very very dangerous to run 100V R-core in 120V environment.
Thanks for the information. I will try to exchange for the right one that I need.
This is scary to provide 100V R-core in 120V environment..
