Oh...my...GodDIGGITY!!! This thing is AMAZING! I don't ever want to stop listening, EVER!!! GAMECHANGER!!! My frigging brain is about to explode, I can't wrap my mind around this...(AND it's going to get better???) It's like an out-of-focus image through an audio lens, and then, one crank to the right, one to the left (the adjustment was built-in, all I had to do was turn it on!), and perfect focus happened instantaneously the moment audio passed the outputs headed directly for the big Sansui! It's going to take new carts and perfect setups for vinyl to beat everything great about what I'm experiencing right now. Everyone, bite the bullet, spend the $350 and shipping ($15 or so) and GET THIS!!! I'm going to be dancing long and hard until this thing ever gets shut off!

Glad you like the Bifrost. I've had mine since November and am very pleased with it. I bought the Lyr headphone amp at the same time and I'm equally pleased. Good sound, good price and USA made.
It's fun to hear positive stories. :)
It is a really really good DAC. Punches way above its weight. There are better out there, but you'd be in the $1500 DAC range.
Spend the extra $100 and get the USB input - if you set your playback software up correctly, you will have better sound, still!

That info would give more context to your experience. Glad you like it. I think this thing is great and I want the company to succeed.
Gear used: Gateway SX2802 (Realtek High Resolution audio player, upsamples to 24/192), 578 GB of native 16/44.1, 24/88, 24/92, and 24/192 files, schiit bifrost fricking amazing non-oversampling DAC (right now it thinks it's seeing 24/192 across the board by selection in the Realtek. Why? Because it sounds best for some reason! I don't know how to let it see every native bitrate I have, so it's 24/192 by default, which is fine, incredible really), Sansui 8080DB, Klipsch Heritage Forte I. Oh yeah, shit wire everywhere.
