not at all kidding! The intense del Gesu electrifying tone (better than Strads for sure), laser intonation, intensity, and complete security.
Though as appropriate for a modern age, Heifetz on some nice CBD. :)
The first oboist has a lovely sweet sound and legato, a disciple of the great Lothar Koch?

What stood out for me was his "melodic line"...... It's hard to describe verbally, but I think of a violinist like Fritz Kreisler, who was also exceptional in that regard. The melody "sings", the music moves on its own momentum.
And I also thought that his tone was sweeter.
Now, I never heard Heifetz live, and a musician whose ears I trust told me that there were very few Heifetz recordings that sounded like the real Heifetz live.
So, I can only guess that there might have been some over-the-top spot mic'ing on the famous RCA recordings. Because the RCA orchestral recordings of the BSO from the 1950s do not sound over-cooked in the treble.
There's a British Glazunov Concerto recording I called attention to on my blog, which is night-and-day from his RCA stuff, both in tone and in tempo.
After considering Milstein and Menuhin, where I came out on Maestro Khachatryan was, "A more energized Oistrakh."
