The young man has technique!
And tone.
The passagework from about 22:20 in the 1st-mvmt Cadenza is amazing. His pedal notes on "A" are so solid and unwavering... while his fingers fly around with, as far as I can tell, perfect pitch security.
I usually prefer a different cadenza than the default Joachim one, but this performance made it an edge-of-the-seat affair.
A commenter states that Sergey Khachatryan had stepped in to replace Joshua Bell.
Assuming that is the case, the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra really won the Lottery that day!
I really must go on Qobuz and listen to his Sibelius concerto and Brahms sonatas.
Thanks for posting,
john

Hopefully US version is different but...
This one (Sibelius/Khachaturian) plays all the way through on TIDAL.
The Khachaturian, as one would expect from an Armenian violinist, the AMAZING!
I first experienced Khachatryan performing Brahms' Double Concerto, he was phenomenal with that one as well. It was on YouTube but has been taken down.
