Glad you enjoyed the Quintets. I have to say that while I "like" the Sextets, I haven't fallen in "love" with them. Maybe in time.
Audite is a class act. I've been exploring the RIAS issues, such as the Furtwangler Schumann 4th.
I can also recommend the Pietsch Prokofiev VC's. Performances work for me and the sound is wonderful.
Follow Ups:
I acquired almost everything I wanted from the Audite catalog during their "Covid Sale" in March/April earlier this year. As for the music itself, the Quintets are shorter and more concentrated, as befits their later opus numbers. Sometimes I feel that there's less interest on this forum for anything that isn't a big orchestral blockbuster, and I appreciate your own enthusiasm for chamber music.
I haven't checked any of Audite's historical issues, although some titles did seem tempting.
And, yes, I did get the Pietsch Prokofiev Concertos too - the performances worked for me too and I agree with you entirely about the SQ. (I also got her album of the Prokofiev violin/piano music - every bit as good if you like the repertoire.)
what a line-up of good stuff. BUT, such often delicate music. I worry about audience noise.
but we've been there before, yes?

but then, with QOBUZ the price of admission is quite low.
Still, lovely stuff.

or Albert Roussel, for that matter. A bit modern with even a hint of 'Shosty' at one point? OK, maybe I imagined that. :-)
The whole album is very French and done in a French way.
Yes, a bit of coughing between each of the Six épigraphes antiques, but it's Europe and everyone over there smokes. OK, maybe not as bad as the live Russian recording of the 70's, but that was likely due to Tuberculosis AND smoking.
So yes, I did enjoy it but it's SO easy with QOBUZ to just...
Listen! Without having to worry if the piece is worth whatever $$ a download would cost.
