just was wondering if anyone has ever taken two pairs of speakers cables and "piggybacked" them from single binding posts on amp output to single pair of binding posts on the back of a speaker, basically running 2 pairs of speaker cables in "parallel" from single binding (L & R) post amp output to single binding (L & R) posts speaker input? Why, you ask? Is because I am really liking the sound of two different sets of speaker cables and would like to combine them at the same time to see what improvement/difference happens...

Follow Ups:
Re-terminate to a single larger spade. Resistance will be lower but capacitance, possibly an issue with amplifier stability but not likely, and inductance, which will affect high frequency reproduction (rolling it off), will increase.

As you described...that's called "Shotgun"
Google or search here "shotgun cable configuration". You'll read about the pro's and con's.
Cheers!

"I know just enough to get into trouble. But not enough to get out of it."
I tried that years ago, it broke at least one of the Speaker Connectors on the Amp, 2 Spades were way too thick, and the cables were heavy.
Maybe if one set was Bananas, the other spades might work.
