I just purchased a home with a in-wall and in-ceiling speakers throughout the house. Two cables that I believe are the speaker cables are sticking through the wall in a cabinet. The connectors are unlike any I've seen, so I imagine they are some obsolete propriety system. The system likely dates to the late 80s. See attached. Any ideas?
Thanks.

It appears to be a Bang & Olufsen Master Control Link cable.

They are indeed Bang & Olufsen Master Control Link cables. Thank you sir.
I didn't even notice the one side was offset.

The other reply made some good guesses but the point it guessing won't cut it. I agree with him that it looks like shielded wire so it may not be speaker wire it could be a line level in or out. You'll have to do some testing and investigation with a meter. Obviously youll want to find where the other end terminates. You can always change the connectors on the end to whatever you prefer.
Good luck!

It looks like a variety of DIN speaker plug. However the double circular pins are unusual (the most commonly encountered plug has one flat connector and one round one).
So I am guessing that those are shielded speaker wires, the braid going to the flat pin plus + and - connectors.
