HUM? As their interconnect goes from the least expensive models up to the most expensive models the total gauge of the signal conductors goes up in size (more metal) from 25AWG to 17AWG. Some might find that silly. Wonder why. Wonder why some would find it silly and wonder why they would do it. Please direct your comments to Saltz. I did not design his cables. Very different to the 54AWG Omega micro body cables. Tweaker

Isn't that why shotgun configuration sounds better than regular speaker connections?
I have great respect for Wireworld.. I've always had very good luck with them in my system. Their HDMI cable is absoltely wonderful.
Agreed-
I like the new Electra 7 power cord (PC) as well.
You seem to be missing the point. Your argument is in favor of larger AWG wire vs. smaller AWG wire based on increased body or tonal bloom, and as such, a disbelief in skin effect as it applies to audio cables. However, the argument must be based on *solid core* wire. You must acknowledge that designs such as Wireworld cables feature multiple small solid core AWG wires, much smaller than 22 AWG, similar to litz wire designs. There has never been any contention about how increasing the aggregate gauge of multiple conductors tends to present more body or tonal bloom, including various Cardas cables that feature many individually insulated wires to increase the cross section as you move up the line. If you still wish to argue against the notion of skin effect, the crux of your argument must be based on the use of one large *single solid core* wire, not multiple wires in a bundle. Furthermore, stranded conductors that are not litz-type are not included within the issue, since they tend to have other issues to address rather than that of skin effect.
My argument does not have to be based on solid core and I am not against litz with my present experience. My argument is against not enough metal. Your comment that there has never been contention of the FACT that there is more body with aggregate wires is astonishing. Look at the crap I've been getting. Geoff loves 54AWG interconnect. Sprey hates litz and thicker wire. I am subhuman to the person who loves his 26AWG speaker wire. I'm getting rediculas sarcasm by the suggestion that thicker wire is fundamentally better. Why isn't 12awg used in tonearms, ha ha ha. . Please reread some of the responses. They are not bringing up the solid vs. litz or stranded thing but are still trying to make me look like some kind of deaf complete idiot for thinking that thicker wire sounds better, meaning more body, tonal bloom, and closer to real live music. We, Duster,Hornlover ,Tweaker and the reviewers of thin wires who have noticed less than optimal body, fullness... are in basic agreement. At the risk of using a logical fallacy, look at how many speaker wire sellers are using thin wires, the likes of 26awg and such. At least 2 pro reviews of Mapleshade ribbions, that he describes as thin and is proud of,even if glowing talk about lack of body. Tweaker
I'm not aware of contention you've encountered in other forums, only Cable Asylum. I tend to keep my discussions about cables in this forum only.
Otherwise, things can get pretty rough, since cables and other system tuning devices are still controversial topics within the consumer electronics marketplace.
Duster, The vast majority of this is happening in the Cable forum. Not hard to find people who disagree with you that thicker wire, up to a point at least, either in solid or litz configuration has more body... I, since you have been so helpful to me in tweaking my system, will take all the heat for your point of view (and mine, of course) on this issue. Tweaker

You are totally confused, Tweaker456. I've clearly stated again and again in Cable Asylum that (as you say) thicker wire, up to a point at least, either in solid or litz configuration tends to present more tonal bloom.
Get your story straight.
Ha? Duster that's what I said you believed. I was pointing out that their are people who don't. There are people who contend this issue. That's what I disagreed with. You and I are substantially on the same side of this issue, we mostly agree. I don't quit get you comment. Tweaker
You are confusing facts with your own opinions.
Interesting Tweaker. I like WW power cords, specifically, the Electra7.
I use a 5.2 Silver Starlight HDMI which is excellent. Only the Platinum series betters it and is outstanding!
