I have some unterminated 2m MIT Mi-330's and looking for a good RCA that will be worthy of these interconnects. It looks like the cables are about 8.5 - 9.0 mm in thickness.
My budget is about $50-75 for a set of 4. Hopefully incl. shipping and maybe pay via Paypal. As a full-time student I have to be selective with my budget.
I actually have 2 pair that both came with RCA's on one end and Camac on the other. Already removed and sold the Camac's. Then combined the factory RCA's on one pair. Have been using them from my pre to Acoustat Servo amps and have been very happy with the results. My plan is to re-terminate the second pair with something as good or better than the originals and sell the 1st pair.
I've been looking and looking and just get overwhelmed. I thought the Eichman Bullets were intriguing but have doubts about the ability to safely connect the large conductors (as per some of the troubles I've read about longevity).
Any recommendations are appreciated.

I use Valab Rhodium carbon locking RCA plugs available for $27 for 2 pairs. They were an improvement over the standard Kimber RCA plugs.
How do you find these to solder to?
Price is certainly reasonable. I usually shy away from overseas (Chinese) products that aren't from known producers overseeing and QC'ing their products and backing the quality with their name. Too many hopeful purchases that disappointed.
That being said, it seems that Valab has some respect. I do have a VALAB NOS DAC that is a little bit of an "ugly duckling" where it comes to fit and finish, but it does the job well enough.
Do you think these would be as good if not better than the factory RCA's from MIT back in the day? What, 20 yrs?
IME, the build quality is very good and it's easy to solder. The few MIT rca connectors I've experienced are good but rather mundane. IMO, it would at least be a lateral move to select the Valab Carbon rca connector for the cable termination project, perhaps performing as good as an upgrade rather than a downgrade vs. the stock MIT locking barrel connectors. However, I would expect them to sound notably different and the resulting sonic signature/synergy to be unpredictable.
YMMV
The quality is very good and I found these easy to solder to, depending of course, on your soldering skills. I don't know what MIT uses but I have used Valab Rhodium banana plugs and Carbon Rodium AC couplers and find them as good as any other product that I have tryed, including Cardas and Oyaide.

IME, the Valab Carbon rca is a very nice inexpensive connector that I actually considered as a suitable recommendation. BTW, it seems HiFi-Tuning offers a more pricey (€49 per pair) cryo'd split solid center pin version of the Valab Carbon rca connector (featuring a hollow center pin and not cryo'd). I would still opt for the Valab version, all things considered...

This excellent rca plug should work well with your MIT cables. Available from a number of sources and you should be able to find them within your budget... ($50 - $75/set of 4).
The Furutech FP-160(G) rca connector is similar to the stock MIT locking barrel rca.

with good results.
