Has anyone heard Cardas Clear Power or Clear Beyond Power cords?
Edits: 03/28/12Follow Ups:
Cardas cables do not work in MY system....grainy, one dimensional, etc. You must listen to them in YOUR system to hear if they work as intended. Cardas power cords (for MY system) were the worst of any power cords I tried. I am using home made ones....Acrolink cables with either top of the Furutech or Oyeida plugs.
Any experience comparing Cardas Clear to VH Audio Flavor 4 or Airsine?
Thanks,
Joćo
Welly Wu, how do you determine if a power cord is neutral in its sonic character?
I based my opinions by comparing the Cardas Clear Power cord to the Golden Reference Power cord. The Golden Reference Power cord clearly adds a honey golden sheen over the sound that is quite pleasing, but it is not accurate. When I replaced it with the Cardas Clear Power, it disappeared and it sounded much clearer with no coloration whatsoever. It is best to switch to Cardas Clear cabling throughout an audio system if financially possible for the best results.
I'm also looking for information about these cables..
Cardas Audio produces three Clear power cords: 1. Cardas Clear M Power 1.5 meter cord, 2. Cardas Clear Power 1.5 meter cord, and 3. Cardas Clear Beyond 1.5 meter Power cord. The Clear M is designed for source components. The Clear is designed for most audio components. The Clear Beyond is designed for high current power amplifiers.
I have the Cardas Clear Power 1.5 meter cord. It is a perfectly neutral power cord. I also have a Cardas Golden Reference Power 1.0 meter cord. The Cardas Clear Power is superior in terms of neutrality, transparency, and resolution along with clarity. It deviates from the rest of the lower end Cardas Audio products because it is so clear. I use my Cardas Clear Power 1.5 meter cord between my custom Balanced Power Technology BP.Jr II Ultra with Signature Upgrades common mode rejection power conditioner and my Resolution Audio Opus 21 Power Center. I also have the Resolution Audio Opus 21 S30 Power Amplifier. I do not have loud speakers. I only have a headphone system. In this context, the Cardas Clear is quite exceptional in terms of its stunning clarity and resolution. It allows me to listen deeper into the music especially high resolution 32 bit 384 kHz DXD .WAV loss less audio files. It costs $750.00 USD for a 1.5 meter Cardas Clear Power cord. I got mine from Audio Connection in Verona, New Jersey from John Rutan with a special discount because I used to work for him years ago and we do business together regularly. So, I did not pay full MSRP.
It is ruthlessly revealing just like the rest of the new Cardas Audio Clear cables. The differences are quite astonishing. Cables do matter in my opinion.
Cardas Clear cords are transparent unlike the rest of the cardas line where euphony and opaqueness rule .
Though Cardas golden whatever is very likeable due to its golden hue , you better
have true reference grade components for the clear line and by that I don't mean anything by Krell
I beg your pardon! I own a Krell FPB amp and it is indisputably of reference quality.

Nope, their lack of see through transparency in the midrange, overemphasized bass and shut in character hardly qualifies them for reference quality componnetry where the ability to distinguish the minutia of audiophilia nervosa is required. On the other hand if one prefers that sound so they can use a hashy sounding digital source then so be it.
