After musing over and swapping-out various AC outlets, IEC inlets, power cords, and AC connectors within my digital front end, my Tel Wire Cord wound up on an A/V component that really didn't deserve it instead of a Museatex Melior DAC. However, I came to find that I missed the silky smooth, elegant presentation that the Tel Wire Cord provided when placed on the DAC, but as placed within my various AC gear configurations, it didn't quite work there. Now that I've added a Monarchy Audio DIP 24/96 digital interface processor placed between CD transport and DAC, and have gone through a number of parts upgrades and power cord cord swaps around that piece of gear, I've come back to the Tel Wire Cord now placed on the DIP and bingo, there's that silky smooth, black velvet sounding elegance, again (very nice...).

I've got Tel Wire PCs on everything but the main line conditioner (which has a Dream State cable that works well there. Otherwise the Tel Wire PCs are on digital, preamp, and 2 HC cords on my amp). The Tel Wires are excellent cables that bettered many previous favorites. Silky smooth as mentioned, but certainly not lacking for detail or realistic soundstage space.
Just a happy listener......I've yet to get a kickback for any post (though I'm open to the idea if any manufacturer wants to play along.......).
An expert is someone who knows no more than you but is from out of town.

couldn't agree more. have been using telwire cords on my transport and preamp (ie both low draw) and their evenhandedness is hard to beat. throw in light and flexible and affordable, nice combo.
That's a different world than mine where a $1k power cord is "affordable".
It is all relative. Since I have all vintage gear, the Tel wire cost only slightly less than my whole stack of equipment. So it is out of the question for me. If I had the kind of bread tied up in my system that Duster has, my attitude might be very different! For now, my next cable will be DIY.

Hi Dave,
Have you selected a particular DIY power cord project, yet?
Cheers, Duster
Hi Duster,
I still plan to do the VH Audio Flavor 2, but I keep getting distracted with other projects! Then there is the music...
I am currently using a Pangea AC9, which I bought when they first came out and were very cheap. I think it will be a good comparison. You have to start somewhere!
