IMO, it's going to be tough to find better, less costly options, as these are two of the cords riding the crest of the cost/benefit curve. I used to use a Source cord, and still use an Airsine from the wall to my (digital) AM Stealth, where it really shines.Concierto Violins ultimately replaced my Wolff cords, adding even better liquidity and rich textures without sacrificing immediacy, transient speed and inner detail. The smoothness and natural bloom of the Wolff with the clarity, detail and dynamics of the Airsine (almost). But they're more expensive, unless you can find one used.
The Airsine is probably the most neutral cord I've used (as far as I can tell--these things are always somewhat personal/system-dependent assessments).
If you're looking for uncolored natural detail and dynamics I'd consider another Airsine. If you want a ( very slightly) smoother sound with a little extra texture and caressing of voices I highly recommend the Foundation Research. I use an LC-2 on my Tact amp/DAC.
Von Gaylord also makes a really smooth and dimensional cord. Slightly soft, but palpable and sweet.
Electraglide Ultra Khan 2 Rev/Rev adds a bit of life and increased scale to the presentation, but could be a little fatiguing over time with my current setup. And it's not grounded.
Probably the best of the less expensive cords I've tried is the K-Works. Really quiet. But not as dynamic as the Airsine.
Follow Ups:
thanks RAS. the problem is i already have one airsine, so if i am going to get another airsine it is not covered by chris' money back policy. if i somehow find a lower cost alternative and sell the airsine, i am going to lose quite a bit of money.
right now, candidate one will be the top-of-the-line power cord from a company that has been highly praised by srajan ebaens.

Your current AirSine is terminated with rhodium plated Furutech's. If you order another AirSine with gold plated Wattgate's there's no reason why Chris would not allow a right of return. It might be a wise thing to have a different set of connectors on your new AirSine, anyway. It might provide better synergy when placed on one component or another. IMHO, I expect that the gold plated AC connectors will sound better than the rhodium plated AC connectors as placed on a digital device, anyway :-)
