I am hoping to get some new monoblock amplifiers soon.
(Well, new to me, as I will be buying them used on Audiogon.)
They will be 200+ wpc.The problem is that I need to get some custom made power cords as one of the amplifiers will be about 8-9 feet from my dedicated power outlets. (Typically the stock cords are only 6 feet long at best.)
Therefore I figure I will get need to get two, 3 meter, power cords made. (I don't have a balance control on my preamp, so I want to balance everything as much as possible.)
Since 3 meter power cords don't show up used very often, and rarely, if ever, do they come up in pairs, I think I am stuck buying new PCs.
Question: Without breaking the bank, what power cords will not limit my dynamics on my amplifiers?
(If you can I would like two options, one for power cords under $500 for the pair and one for power cords under $1,000 for the pair.
Follow Ups:
i second the vh audio stuff. Great performance. If you want even cheaper you can try the signal cable cords.
Relatively inexpensive, I have been very pleased with a pair of them on my 300 wpc amp.
Partsexpress.comBelden 83803 Teflon-coated & shielded power cable, $4.86 per ft
Marinco 320IEC15 connector, $15.87 each+ whatever plug fits your sockets.
Very easy to wire.
I just don't have the time, nor the experience, to be assembling components. (Even the obviously simple job of soldering connectors to the cables is too time consuming. I have little enough time to listen to my music, without cutting into by doing projects. However, thanks for the suggestion!
If you have any low cost suggestions, that are already assembled, I am all ears! (Which helps when listening to music!)
...find some 3M PCs at your leisure.

I will consider them, but I was hoping to get something that was a keeper for a year or so, or longer, rather than something that would work, but just be a temporary solution.Any other suggestions for something that might be a little more upscale, again though, without breaking the bank?
FYI, I am hoping to get a pair of Lamm M2.1 amps, if that helps you make a recommendation.
Raiderman will want to do some research on which power cords work well with his amps, and he will need to get a sense of their sound with stock cords first. These Volex cords are very good for stock cords.
...I caught hell from a few folk who apparently thought something for $10 was beneath us.
