thank you,
any one tried the cerious cables, compared interconect at length against Indra, cerious more detail and quiter etc [not a review]
Speaker cable was better than Luminious.[not a review]
There was a significant differance [improvement but to early to be accurate and fair] in sound with both cerious's,your opinions on technology and sound if you have heard

Any particular thoughts or comparisons on cerious powercords? Thanks.

it sorta makes sense, after my experience with the Van den Hul linear carbon wire... all metal, regrdless of price or brand, somehow, someway, sounds like metal... reminds of of the metal cone conumdrum, you receive energy, speed, "holography", but you give up tonal purity, fine coherence, etc... almost impossible for metal not to ring.... so, does the Cerious material lack this irritating metalness ? How do difficult instruments sound, ones with complex materials, like the harp, the oud, massed strings, do cymbals have that velvety, steamy quality of real cymbal, can you hear the reeds in the wind instruments.... does the dacay trail off naturally, with hitting the wall of blackness halfway through ?

Funny how just one new purchase can get you back on the audio train. I wasn't even listening to much stereo lately- I have been into DLP projectors and Mac G5's.After years of reading about it, I picked up the PS AUdio P500 powerplant recently as a B-stock. So amazing - It really got me back into 2 channel. I even ordered the GCC100 control amp and found it to possess a new level of transparency over a spectral amp/pre with a Tech Labs Volume control.
Anyway I decided why stop there. I read an ad for Cerious on A'gone, and being such a sucker for new Technology, (and wanting an upgrade from some Mogami speaker cables)
I read some of the reviews here of cerious cables.Well thanks to you all (some of which have posted in this thread) I have ordered a set of Cerious Speaker Cables, a pair of XLR;s and an Unbalanced interconnect.
But wait- theres more- beaing the easiest customer to upsell (actullu do it to myself) I decided to order a pair of Cerious two monitors and a single Cerious powered bass.
Bob Grost (seems a great guy) said even one Bass unit will be okay (I am very space limited and in a small Manhattan apartment).
So in the next 6-8 weeks (I hope) I'll be running a full Cerious system.
I'll certainly post back my findings. I'll have the cables before the speakers- so I'll post on just the cables with my GCC100 and already excellent Source Technologies 610.I think this will be a cutting edge full analog system. Next upgrade I'm sure I'll be using digital amps or speakers- so I consider this system to be analogs last hurrah. (of course I use digital sources as well)
My system has been completely wired with CT interconnects, speaker cables, and power cords for several months (with the exception of Linn tonearm cables and a Virtual Mode power cord on my Linn Lingo). Absolutely incredible performance! Never heard anything this dead quiet, and it's so easy to hear the acoustic envelope within each recording. Very natural sounding, beyond anything I've ever experienced in my system! See my previous post (http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=cables&n=108385&highlight=cerious&r=&session=) for more info.My system consists of:
Linn LP12 turntable w/Lingo, Cirkus bearing, and Trampolin base
Linn Ekos tonearm
Linn Akiva MC cartridge
Sony SCD-777ES SACD player with Vacuum State Level 5 mods
Coda FET 01 preamp with built in phono stage
Coda Model 30 amp with 30.5 software upgrade
Cerious Technologies Model One speakers
Cerious Technologies single ended interconnects (SACD to preamp)
Cerious Technologies balanced interconnects (preamp to amp)
Cerious Technologies biwire speaker cables
Cerious Technologies power cords on SACD player, preamp, and amp

Yes, I have two pairs of IC's in my system right now, replacing Stereovox's Reference IC's. Not a complete Cerious system, because I need 3 pairs with the BAM, so I still have one Stereovox IC and the Stereovox LSP speaker cables in the system. Having some other system problems lately, so conclusions are tentative, but I would agree with Norm about the bass and the soundstage. Bass seems fuller and has more weight than the Stereovox, but isn't quite as clean, bass with the Stereovox is more 'lean and muscular'. Soundstage is big in all dimensions, but not noticeably more than Stereovox. Detail is about the same. Not sure what I will eventually end up with, but given that the Cerious are much less expensive than the Stereovox, they are certainly a great deal at the price.

They give a sense of truth or accuracy that I have not experiences with much more expensive cables. The soundstage is quite wide and deep also. The greatest strength of these cables, however, it dynamics (explosive) and bass (deep and with different notes).CT strongly recommends using them throughout the system. Having inserted the ics first and later the speaker wires and listened at each stage, I would entirely agree.
There is no metal within these cables so I do not think they are following Jim Aud's ideas.
