Can anyone recommend a DHT preamp, especially with remote control.

a few off hand:
Allnic
Manley Labs
and the previously mentioned LIO.
Manley, Allnic, and LIO won't hum through headphones even if there is a ground loop issue?Edit: Sorry, I got my threads mixed up. My response doesn't make sense here. I'm also looking for an SET amp that won't hum through headphones.

for DHT headphone, check out Viva monster headphone amps
If you look for old triodes maybe Thomas Mayer (Vinylsavor)could help you.
Vinnie has recently started shipping a DHT volume control for the LIO. Check it out.
As I recall, some of the Supratek preamps offered remote volume control. That's the only off-the-shelf option I know of. (And no source selection or anything like that.)
Have you considered DIY or utilizing a custom builder and specifying this? I've linked an article below that you may find useful if you go this route. Good remote volume control kits / modules do exist.
Obviously, though, DHTs do not ordinarily find themselves in preamps. Low gain plus hum... And then add remote control functionality? Tough assignment. I forget the cross-posting rules here; you might get better responses in the SET forum?
Anyway, good luck with your search!
Too bad about the Supratek website. No models or pricing shown even under the available models tab. I get the hand built and no inventory on hand but geez. I guess thats why you didnt link their site.

One of the current pages indicates, "No orders are being taken for the remainder of 2012." No updates in ~4 years? Not encouraging. Used Supratek preamps do come up for sale once in a while, though. Patience...
It seems that DHT preamps are still a "specialty item" only available from small, cottage companies and smart, hand-builders alike. Adding the remote adds expense to an already pricey, coveted, elusive item; plus some serious design engineers would try and persuade you not to include the convenient remote. How about a phono stage ? That will be a really tough find in DHT form. I am guessing you only want a line level stage...Which amplifier will you be using ? Sensitivity is an important concern with the usual low gain DHT.....
Nevertheless, I am sure you can find some very cool offerings at very high prices. If you do go the handmade route, be sure you speak with previous purchasers to avoid pricey snags....
