I did. The Elex is running in this week. I thought it had more appearant power and drive than the Naim (which is no slouch).
Thanks for replying.
Apart from the dynamic section, how are its tonal ballance, details, imaging? Does it portray the much quoted hi-mid shrill, emphasis, 'zing' reported by some, would you say you prefer it to the Naim? Do you have other suggestions?
The Naim is better and tougher to beat (no pun).
While I am awaiting to demo the Elex-R, I did A/B the Elicit-R & Naim 5si.
The Rega will pay-off to those interested in computer-based audio application(s). Other than this fact, the Naim is more musical and purist in design.
Naim abandoned phono inputs on all of their amp for a quite a while now. PIty that their MM phono cards were excellent VFM.
The OP should also look at Linn Majik integrated, too.
The OP will have some nice choices.
