Have a question about a amplifier it is not vintage but would appreciate any information thoughts reviews on this amp.
It is a ATI 1502 SS amp
Perfect condition bough new
Could anyone give me some thoughts on the amp has anyone ever owned one before? Listened to one before or anything along those lines. Seems no one has ever had any experience with this heavy big amp I would really appreciate any information or experience with this amp.
Anything would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

I have had a 1805 for several years powering my seven channel home theater. I have had no trouble and am well satisfied. I'm not sure that it is the last word in presenting all the detail, but for the money it is great.

Thanks Willis I bought the 1502 when it first came out, but got so involved in tube amps I hardley used it except for the TV just 2 channel. Wife enjoyed it with a adcom preamp. So I never gave it a run with a tube preamp and some diferant speakers and set up might check it out now that I am fooling around with dif combinations of amps and set ups. And she wants a dif set up for the TV now. Not a problem here, gives me a chance to shop around for some new speakers for her and beings she dont like tube amps wont loose out there.

Your wife likes this hobby???? Does she have a sister?
I replaced a Quad 405 with the ATI 1502 because the deeper bass and improved dynamics were more important than the slightly dry high frequencies. I later replaced the ATI with much more expensive amps because they had even better bass and dynamics, a superior high end, and improved imaging. However, the ATI was totally reliable: I've had a slight buzz with one amp (Llano), added an inrush current limiter to another (EDGE), replaced an LED on a third (Belles), and replaced power switches on two of them (EDGE before the inrush limiter and Belles even with its inrush current limiter). The ATI was quite good for the price and is the most trouble-free amp that I've owned. I still use it (bridged) for my subwoofer.
