My Yahama receiver quit on me & I wonder if it's worth fixing? It will turn on but won't play now? Troubleshooting skills not great, no tools, no volt meter.

Unless it is a vintage piece- probably not worth the money to repair (if possible).
Seek out one of the newer Yamaha products, including the integrated amp(s).
