Try a used Sony SCD-C333ES or 'C555ES. They are great players, both with SACDs and CDs. I have both and find the 'C555ES a bit more detailed (in a good way), but the 'C333ES is still an excellent choice. If you are not keen on going with a used player, look at the current Sony SCD-C2000ES. I have one of those too, and while it's not quite up to par with the 'C333ES and 'C555ES, it comes surprisingly close for the $400 retail price.

Rotel makes a carousel CD changer that retails for around $800. I haven't heard it, but knowing Rotel's tradition of bang for the buck, I'm sure it's a capable CD player. Check www.rotel.com for more information.
