You'll need a pipe cutter, your caps, some tools and a little patience

Cut right above the flange

Cut can and flange with innards cleaned out

Epoxy solder tabs from rear of flange for strength

Prepare capacitor bundle

Drop capacitor bundle into can

<
/

solder terminals in holes drilled through flange

Glue end flange on and clamp

Complete

3 reworked cans installed

L
Lots more to do but getting there

This works great for classic pieces or those components where you just can't fit the array of teriminal strips and axial caps underneath. If you have the time and patience it looks great and undistdinguishable from the original. Now the Marantz 1 has 105 degree super quality Nichcons in the PS preserving the original look.

Hope some of you will give it a try..
