You know that in the late '50s and early '60s many blacks voted Rep.

I did not expect that in particular old blacks did this because of Lincoln. When the civil rights acts of '64 and '65 saw Republicans drop support for civil rights and embraced southern resisters of granting blacks civil rights, blacks largely abandoned the Republican party.
