The only problem i had, with the Shinkoh used as a series resistor (10k) in a shunt attenuator, was that they sounded big, but much too soft in the bass, they 'acousticized' and somewhat homogenized all bass sounds IMO - i could not live with it. This bass 'colour' was for my ears a clear loss of information and bass impact.
However, a friend who is using this 'multi-brand series resistor input shunt attenuator' now prefers the Shinkoh on the whole.
