RE: Mundorf E-Cap AC Bipolar Capacitors

I bought some 68uF/50V ones and also bought some Nichicons in the exact same value at the same time, in order to compare them. I happen to own a Sencore capacitance meter, so I first compared the Mundorf to the Nichicon for ESR and leakage. To my surprise, the Nichicon had lower ESR and zero leakage, compared to the Mundorfs. (I think the Mundorfs had zero leakage, too.) This was not a sample to sample issue; ALL the Nichicons measured better for ESR than ALL the Mundorfs, and the difference was surprisingly large. So I used the former. Never even listened to the Mundorfs, although I firmly believe that altho they don't measure as well, they just might sound better. I did not have time to play around with that. You can buy mine, cheap.
