A lot of the noise(jaggies) on the scope, comes from the secondary's interaction from mains noise and/or additional windings on the PT.
I've seen this with HV Schottky > FWCT and the waveform also looked clipped.
So yes, to answer your question, the outside world is creeping into our tranny's.
Why not RC the secondary for sh*ts and giggles and scope it, pre-post.
