I gave a listen to the 3.6's the other day.
The dealer said that he keeps a 1.6 on order constantly. When someone orders it, he orders another one. Of course, you have to be lucky enough to want "the most popular" type of wood and covering. So if your dealer does this, you might get them quicker than the full backorder period.
Of course, if you wanted another color, or someone had just ordered a pair the day before...
From the quick listen, I can see why so many people don't mind waiting, and at the same time, can't stand waiting.
